James Goldstein, owner of the legendary Sheat Goldstein House by John Lautner, has announced he will gift it to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). His will is to give to the possibility to the public and architects to be inspired and admire Lautner’s architecture in the future. The house, which has been seen in many movies like the “Big Lebowski” and photo shoots, will be generously given with the it’s contents such as his 1961 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, his fashion collection, and paintings from artists like ED Ruscha.
Did you know: The Sheat Goldstein house was originally built on a tight budget with plaster and formica. Lautner and Goldstein collaborated to make it perfect.
