Your deep-sea diving gear is not the attire you think of wearing when going to a gallery. Flippers and paintings don’t typically pair. However the Andreas Franke underwater exhibition requires just that. He showcased his collection of photos 7 miles off the coast of Key West on the Vandenberg missile tracker wreckage, which is 24 metres below the surface. There is an eerie feeling from the photos themselves which feature people underwater which is heightened by the dramatic location of the exhibition.
TRD: Something I would love to see but I am only good at snorkeling.
Did you know: The USNS Vandenberg in 2009 became the world’s second-largest vessel sunk to become an artificial reef.
